We are born and raised to love, and we die from loving too much. We fall in love because our hearts feel that there is a special person for us out there, our soulmate. Love is necessary in life because one can only be so lonely for so long. People would drive themselves crazy if they didn't have someone to bounce off the energy with.

Love is after all one of the essential part of meaning full life. It can not be looked always from sexual angel. It is the cause of origin for all living beings on this earth.
It depends on indvidual to use it like salt or sugar. However from my view point there is no third option (i.e nil love).
Having taken birth as human you can utilise it in max number of ways and make your life full of joy and happiness.

Nope love isn't life. there is much more to life than love. Indeed we all require love to live, but that doesn't mean that we must just keep taking deep sighs and thinking about the beloved. Love isn't just the one that was between Romeo and juliet..etcetc.. Its a feeling that must persist between two people for a good relation, be it bro-sis, father-son, mother-son..etc.
