I agree with you. Not everyone wants to venture into a potentially lifelong mate. Some people are more loner oriented. Others like to be around but not necessarily bond with one particular person. Though marriage may not be for everyone. Most people seek partners even if only for a short time. It is human nature to interact and it is the very rare individual that seeks complete solitude.
I hope my response works for you.

No marriage is not for everyone. I don't think anyone should rush to marry either. I have told my children that I have been married longer than I have been single. I never regret marring as I am married to a wonderful man...but if they are happy alone then stay single, if they want to marry then do so. It is a personal decision.

No I don't feel everyone should get married. I know now that neither myself nor my ex husband should ever have married and we both found out (the hard way) that marriage really wasn't for either one of us. Marriage isn't for everyone and I think society is finally getting the hint. And contrary to what SOME here think you CAN have unconditional love without being married.

i like being in a relationship, but I dont really feel the need to be married. I was with my ex for 13 years, and he kept presuring me to marry him. I finally agreed, but didnt want to. It wasnt that I didnt love him, but I was happy just living together.

No... It's not an easy road if you are not actually a person that can handle that commitment. It's even worse when you are with someone who can not handle the commitment. If you are a person able to stay committed and do the whole for better or worse thing, then marraige is great.

I think it would be better to love someone totally and them love you totally than to just play the field. I havent really played the field (by choice), but I am in love with my gf of well over 1 year and we do plan to get married. I look foward to it.

No, I don't think everyone should be married, some people are destined not to be married, my uncle is single and he's happy with that.
