Am I pro-choice. If I got pregnant I would keep it but I think that it's up to the parents to decide (both mother and father). I don't look down upon people that have had abortions?
Can girls that don't want abortions give the baby to the church to look after or is it just adoption agencies?

Pro-Choice does not means Anti-Life or Pro-Abortion. It just means that we want to be able to make our own choice. Some will argue that abortion is bad, murder blah blah blah but I appreciate the fact that I can make that choice should I ever need to. It's also a choice to keep the baby or put it up for adoption. I don't want anyone telling me what I can or can't do with my body. Its my choice and I'm the one who has to live with the decisions I've made. And I think that it's only adoption agencies that you can give the baby to. I don't think the church gets involved unless you're thinking of having an abortion. Then they get involved and call you a murderer.

Pro-choice. As someone has pointed out already, no one should be able to tell a woman what to do with her body.

Marissa, everyone makes mistakes. Should they have to deal with a baby if they do? That's not to say that a couple shouldn't talk about what to do in the case of a pregnancy, but keep in mind that no contraceptive is 100% effective. I don't believe in punishing someone for having sex, but if someone had sex without thinking of the consequences, shouldn't getting pregnant suffice as punishment? Some people just aren't ready to be mothers, and they shouldn't be made to be.

If supporters of pro-life are concerned for the to-be-child, an interesting way to look at it would be, what kind of environment would he/she be growing up in? How might it feel to have parents who considered killing you?

You are definitely pro choice, pro life does not believe in abortion at all. And yes in many states there are places(hospitals and churches) that are designated as drops for baby's that are not wanted. As long as the baby is not harmed then nothing is ever said about it.

Anyone who turns over any age children to any one else, that person or church must notify Social Services in that County, that's the law in the USA.

Be Pro-life! If you are having problems contact your priest, pastor, parents, sservices, etc. There are many programs to help people who have to make those hard choices. Every fetus is a person, no one has a right to end life.

I think just adoption agencies. I am one of those women who have lost two babies in the second trimester, and I have looked into adoption, and I have never heard of any other agency to be able to go through. There are so many people in the world who can't have babies and would love to have one that you could also go through an adoption attorney-he probably already has a family in line waiting for a baby, and you may be able to directly go through the attorney office.

Hope this helps!

Pro-life. I'm glad that if you got pregnant you say you would keep it... but I think many people use abortions as ways to fix a mistake. If people are old enough to have sex then they are old enough to raise a child. Some people don't think about the consequences of their actions.
I don't know about the church thing?

Pro-Choice. Whether you believe in having an abortion or not, no-one has the right to tell a woman but herself what to do with her body
If abortions were outlawed, there would be plenty of girls going to illegal clinics and being butchered.

Here in the US, girls that don't want their kids can just drop them off at any hospital or fire station no questions asked.

Pro-Choice. I agree - I would keep my baby as well. However, I believe in the right to choose for your OWN life...and not have government in that decision.

I don't like babies being killed and wish we could promote a better way to take care of these situations. I believe a baby is a human being right from conception. However, again I believe everyone should have their personal rights to make that decision for themselves...and I will not judge those who decide either way.

i think if i got pregnant i would have the baby, i don't know if i would give it up for adoption or not. i mean it would depend on stuff like my age, my socioeconomic status, etc. i support a woman's right to choose, and i certainly don't think bush should be trying to pass antiabortion laws. i mean at least when clinton voted against abortion he talked to women who'd had their babies, and women who'd had abortions. i think in some cases it's extremely unfair for the government to force women to have babies, even when they are just young women and don't know how to take care of children or be good mothers. it's hard to imagine myself aborting a child, but in theory i am pro-abortion. i'm not sure what the decision i would personally make would be, but until george bush grows a uterus, maybe he can reserve judgment on abortion.

I believe in North America Child service or Children's Aid services are always involved to some degree in adoptions. There's a legal process that has to be followed. You can't just leave kids with whoever you choose.
