Get him a nice, fancy controller for the game system(s) that he has. I've seen light up, glow in the dark, ones with fans, wireless ones, and many more that are quite interesting! If he's into racing games, he might not have a steering wheel controller, which would make a good gift. If he plays for hours on end and has sweaty palms, a controller with fans in it would make a nice, thoughtful gift. If he doesn't like handling cords a lot, get him a wireless controller.
I know that having the right controller is sometimes the most important thing to a gamer. Everyone has their favorite one because of the way it fits in their hand, the way it's weighted, or another factor.
If all else fails, giftcards are really nice, too.

You're boyriend is a gamer?
well, first thing you got to know is that what game platform does he usually play on. Next thing is that, what kind of game genre does he usually play (1st personshooter?, arcade?, etc,.,), and last but not the least, what Game does he most desire to have?
By the time you know that, you'll know what gift you're going to give him on Christmas.
I myself a hardcore gamer and I'd jump to the fullest when I get to have an xbox3 as a christmas gift..
adv merry christmas to you, good luck on what gift youre going to give to your boyfriend ; ; XD

You could book a flight and go on holiday if you have the money or you could get him something he can use in everyday life. For example, a GPS for his car (If he has one) or an ipod or just anything which will make his/both of yours' lives more convinent.
Personally just getting to spend time with my girlfriend is more than enough.

What about a subscription to a gamer magazine. Or a game you could play with him.

It all depends on which system he has. If you give the specific system (PS2, XBOX, Nintendo) We could help you out a lot more.
