If you are getting painful cramps you should see your doctor. If it is very painful you should see a doctor right away. Some sharp pain can be normal but usually further along when you move quickly or twist your body.

I'm six weeks and have been to my Dr. three times for this. I'm a little on the paranoid side I guess. But turns out the cramps are normal and the sharp pains could be gas or just your body stretching out. I just want them to stop!!! They hurt .... I know. I would go to my Dr. if I were you to be on the safe side but don't stress yourself out over it. Congrats and good luck<3

Well it could be normal, I know people who had cramps, and it was just the uterus stretching.
(Not to frighten you) but it could be a complication
Tho, I had the same symptoms, (I'm not pregnant) and it was a yeast infection.
I suggest you go to your doctor and voice your concerns. That way your doctor will monitor you, and if it's nothing you can relax.
Good Luck!

Twinges and cramps are very normal in pregnancy, especially at the stage you are at, but it is also VERY scary. Depending on how painful your cramps are, though, I would probably mention this to your doctor.

I dont think that this is normal. Have you told your doctor about these pains? If not, you need to.

Not to scare you, but it could be a sign of early miscarriage, OR maybe ovarian cysts. Please see your OB/GYN.
