Hi Laraine

THe answers on this website really show how ignorant we are in cleaning out the toxins out of the body. The average american has one bowel movement every 2 days and almost everywhere else in the world is 30 minutes after eating! If toxins are sitting in the colon where are they suppose to go? They get in the blood and that is main reason we get illness and disease. We Americans eat so much food that is processed and has all types of chemicals in them. It's no wonder we lead the world in the most types of diseases known. Because we have them all!

To answer your question; the process is to get herbs that help give you regular bowel movements and that helps clean out the colon. You can do this effectively with a 5-10 day cleanse by eating organic fruits and vegetables (better yet juicing them) and using herbs to help clear the toxins.

Here are a few websites that I recommend their plan. Id also be happy to give you more info. Ive done several cleanses over the years.

Whatever you do ... DO NOT buy the Kevin Trudeau's book on weight loss cures. You could work out at the YMCA. I worked out there yesterday on the machines for like 1 hour and I lost 2 pounds. It's a lot of work but it's worth it. But don't eat fatty foods. For breakfast you could at least have yogourt with milk or water. Then for lunch you could have ... i guess a sandwich. But make sure you have lean meat in your sandwich. Snacks are fruits or vegiiees. Dinner would be soup. Drink lots of water nothing else. But in the morning you could have milk if you want. Excercise when you're at home. Hope I helped! Good Luck and Have Fun!?!

Colonic cleansing is a good idea, if it is done in a safe manner. There is a harder way, that is if a person wants their bowels clean every time. It requires a change in diet though. If a person eats a total of 25-35 grams of food a day, the person is guaranteed to have a bowel movement every day. It is a very skeptical and controversial subject, since I am a nurse and work in the hospital. I do tell my patients to eat foods high in fiber. I myself practice alternative medicine, but don't tell to other people that I practiced it, because it is weird, but I believe it. To have bowel movements takes time. Do a websearch, specifically, when you eat a certain food, how long does it take to go out the body, in anatomy and physiology, you will find the answer there. I cannot tell you more than that.

The doctors I have spoken too say not good to do. Your colon naturally cleans itself out. To put foreign matter or water in that has not gone through the rest of your sytem can cause long term damamge. If you feel it needs cleaning they say to go on a liquid diet of clear fluids for two days and you should be good to go.

If you believe that many of the disease of today are due to our toxic environment (and I do), then anything that gets rid of toxins is good.

Be aware that you may need multiple sessions. My first one made the situation worse because it stirred up the toxins.

"The Essene Gospel of Peace" contains a passage that indicates that Jesus the Christ advocated this prodecure. Go to either of the links and search for "angel of water"

For those who don't believe there is build up, ask someone who has lost weight after a session. "Over the years, the walls can become encrusted with un-eliminated waste, making its function inefficient. The average person may have up to 10 pounds or more of old un-eliminated waste sitting dormant in the large intestine. Others can have as much as 10 to 30 extra pounds of unnecessary weight that can be eliminated doing high colonic irrigation." (see third link)

Colon Cleansing can be very dangerous, erspecially if the person that is performing the proceedure does not know what they are doing. There are a lot of quacks out there and very few ones that know how to do this. Colon Cleansing according to medical professionals is inherently dangerous. The procedure can screw up your electrolytes in your body and cause you to be very sick. I know I have treated many patients after getting such a procedure and I have also watched a few die from it

I don't personally, but I know someone who is very much into fasting and such. Check out his very interesting and informative website:

He is small enough still, that he will respond to his emails. His name is Chuck and he knows more about good health than any doctor I've ever met.

You need to Google Kevin Trudeau. He is a scam artist. Do the research before you listen to him. 20/20 did an interview with him. His ignorance is astounding.

colon cleansing is bullsh!t.
Your colon cleanses itself and does not need any "help".
You do NOT build up gunk in your colon - ask ANY gastroenterologist who does colonoscopies, or pathologist who does autopsies. The idea that you need to "cleanse" your colon has absolutely NO scientific basis.
