If they're the cardboard ones then it should be okay as long as he's not flushing a whole box at a time. If they are the plastic ones then it could cause a blockage since they won't degrade. Either way, if there is a problem he should understand that he will need to assume full responsibility for fixing it. Good luck!

No!!!! I thought it would be okay as well. My plumbing started getting clogged up, not because of that. I had to have the plumbers out the next day...so they got here and unclogged the drains. Then they seen papertowels and the q -tips, they said never to flush these things down the toilet cuz they dont disolve. So tell your roommate unless he wants to have a big fat plumbers bill each month not to flush em down the toilet!!

if you are on a spetic system and the qtips are made from plastic, this is a big no no
if made from plastic and not on septic system, then you are just killing fish in the ocean when the swallow them.
if made from cardboard then you only run the risk of stopping up the toilet. if made from cardboard and the toilet has never gotton stopped up, dont worry out it.

Bad idea.
Q-tips can get stuck across the plumbing causing a blockage. And if he's using the plastic tips they won't slowly break down, they'll continue to sit there and slowly build up more debris.
If your on a septic this can cause a breakdown of your system as it clogs the leech lines and could end up costing you lots of money.

Aah...what is so elaborate approximately placing the seat down, besides. When one wakes up within the core of the night time, one does no longer like to take a seat straight in rest room water...makes for uncomfortable instances...

This is funny. Here is the major question.....How many times have you backed out a Buick and had no problem flushing? More times than not, when your pump-in Plato, it goes down. A Q tip ain't gonna do any harm.

LMFAO -- "Backing out a Buick"!!
I agree - it's defnitely a NO NO! I yell at my husband all the time for this. And, our qtips are plastic. Sheesh... and to think most men would know better...mine doesn't. :)

I would say no, that is not a good idea and it`s something I would never do in case it does block the toilet.
Just tell your lazy, insensitive & inconsiderate roommate to throw those Q-Tips where they belong: in the trash can!
Some people, I swear...

No, q-tips are not bio-degradable. The acid we use to clean out pipes comes in a plastic bottle, "Why?" , it will eat through anything...except plastic. I'm assuming that the q-tips have the plastic shaft, either way-no.
