A full view of the sky at noon on December 21st, 2012 A.D. The band of the Milky Way can be seen stretching from the lower right to the upper left. The more or less vertical dotted line indicates the Galactic Equator. The planets can be seen tracing a roughly horizontal path through the chart, indicating the ecliptic. The sun, quite strikingly, is dead center.

The planets lined up on May 5, 2000. There was supposed to be a pole shift. It didn't happen.
The alignment on 12-21-2012 is completely different. The sun will rise against the dark area of the Milky Way, a once in 26,000 year alignment signifying the birth of a new sun.
The Mayan Long Count calendar doesn't end. The 12th Baktun of the calendar ends. 12-21-2012 is the first day of the 13th Baktun.

In all seriousness I believe what will happen will be about the same thing as in 2000, except with 12 more years of fireworks technology advancements.

BTW - I just checked the calendar in Windows 98 and it goes all the way up to 2099, then flips to 1980. Does that mean the world was actually created in 1980 and all our memories before then are falsely implanted, and the world will end at the end of 2099? Or perhaps after 2099 we'll snap back in time and relive everything starting over at 1980?

in the course of the alignment on 12-21-2012, the solar will upward push adverse to the darkish part of the Milky way, a once in 26,000 365 days alignment signifying the delivery of a sparkling solar. The Mayan lengthy count number calendar would not end. The twelfth Baktun of the calendar ends. 12-21-2012 is the first day of the thirteenth Baktun.

Wont be the end of the world but if the way where polluting our environment now continues then its gonna suck. Maybe the US will have a democrate for president that would be good. But theres gonna be lots of extinct species, tons of emos and music will probaly keep going downhill.

My bf and I are going to get married on Dec.20, 2012. I honestly don't know if the world will end on Dec.21 but we decided it's a good response to the question "when are you two getting married?" Day before the world ends! You're invited! No gifts please.
