It depends on what the two chemicals were...

maybe no reaction at all...

Sounds like a trick question. After mixing 2 chemicals in a beaker, what reaction JUST occured...

I would say it to be just a physical mixing. Unless you tell me what are the 2 chemicals, I cannot really tell.
