Tell your friend to read Suzanne Sommers book "Ageless." I did and began using Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (this is nothing like what a family doc will prescribe) and am feeling better than I have in years, especially mentally. I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 26. I just wished I had heard about this years ago.

Yes, I believe the average age to be through with menopause is fifty. I was a pre-med student and spent a lot of time shadowing an OB/GYN, and this question came up A LOT. He always smiled and assured them that EVENTUALLY it will be over. tell her good luck! :)
