Not sure how old you are, or if you live at home. But have you thought of coupons?

Get some nice paper and sparkly gel pens to make the coupons look really festive. Print or write them in your best cursive or printing. Decorate them if you like (stickers, glitter, sequins, buttons, whatever you think would look special).

Decide on how many you want to include. The point is one coupon equals something nice you'll do for them. For instance, one coupon can be good for washing the dishes, or vacuuming the house, or helping in some other way. It all depends on your circumstances. Do you have younger siblings? Then promise to play a game with them or babysit them so your parents can go out. Or make dinner so many times a month.

Do you get the point? Tie them together with ribbon (punch holes in the papers first, of course). It's a nice, personal way to give them something that is truly helpful and meaningful and doesn't cost a thing...only your time and imagination.

My Birthday Book tells the story of one birthday party.
Family and friends, and aunts, grandma's.
Photo's and memories
bound in a cardboard and cloth book cover.
You know the story, pass it on with love.

Bookmaking is an art.
I have a good one to fill in the blanks on.
Great Gifts are a joy to remember.

If you are short on money, write your folks a letter telling them what they mean to you. Relate things from your past that meant a lot to you. It will mean more than any gift.
