Insects are definitely not people, so it sounds like you are good to go.

Why are you asking other people? You should be asking insects what they think about it. And keep in mind for thouse of you who love to kill insects there is probably a bigger fish in the sea and it may look at your actions to judge if your friend or foo. :)

No. Only humans have soul. That is Gods creation.Kiling other human beings/destroying soul is only considred as murder.
