He learned that he made a lot of mistakes in his life of greed. He lost great friends, He lost a great woman, He lost he family. But the three ghosts showed him that it is not to late to change, Which , by the way, is the moral of the story.
and by the way I watch all of the scrooge movies..including Scrooged

Scrooge learned to be more compassonate to his fellow man. Dickens had a lot of symbolisms in the characters. Jacob Marley died and because he learned from his partner how to be greedy, he had those chains, which symbolize sin. The two children in the robe of the Ghost of X-Mas presents are Ignorance (boy) and his sister, Want.
