Oh yes. lol I have vericose veins in both legs, stretch marks, extra skin in my midsection, a terribly flat buttocks (from leaning back on it during pregnancy and from holding/rocking a newborn for so long), and my eyes are dark and bruised (from lack of sleep). lol
The first few changes are predominantly genetic. There's little you can do to prevent vericose veins, except to avoid crossing your legs. If your mom has them, you probably will get them too. And pregnancy can trigger them. Stretch marks are also fairly genetic. Some women swear by cocoa butter, but it doesn't work for all. With my first baby I obsessively applied creams to my midsection and still ended up looking like a pink and cream colored zebra. Again, if your mom gets them...you will too. And the extra skin will coincide with the stretch marks...you get 'em both.
Now, stretch marks and extra skin will subside over time. And firming creams might help some, but they don't help me. The stretch scars are lightening considerably over time. And the skin is returning to its normal shape somewhat after 7 months.
The beautiful baby that comes from these small prices is more than worth all of the gags you will have when you look in the mirror postpartum.

No permanate changes. I think it's easier to gain wieght now after I had my little one but as long as I am aware of that being a possability I am simply more careful of what I eat & I try to exercise more. Some changes I think are more prone in certain people & you may or may not be able to prevent certain changes. Sorry,, your Dr can probally help you out with more of your concerns.

For many women, their bodies changed the most with the first pregnancy and very little with subsequent ones. For instance, with my first, I started out as a thin, atheletic cute young thing. After I lost the wieght I was going to lose (kept on about fifteen of it, and probably always will, but no biggie!), I had stretch marks and loose skin on my belly, my boobs were saggy and my hips were wider. After my second one, my body looked exactly the same after the post partum weight loss. I weighed the same and everything. After my third, I kept on about three to five more pounds and my boobs sag a bit more, but no huge changes.
So, usually, women see the most drastic changes with their first one if they see them at all. After that it's usually smooth sailing.

My body changed in that the weight was kind of shifted to other places than before. I got rid of all of the weight, but I just seemed to be shaped differently, mainly was a little hippier.
However, my sister has had four children, and her body didn't change at all...she is just as tiny as ever.
I think it just really depends on the person.

Yes. My hips got much wider due to the pelvic bones loosening. I didn't have too many stretch marks, but the skin on my belly is permanently stretched, and I really don't think there is any way to make that go away with the exception of surgery.

I got stretch marks with my first, and I am getting them with my second. They will lighten eventually, and I still looked good in a bikini(not now since I am 7 and a half months along of course, but after the first one did). I eat pretty healthy and take daily walks. Sodas and sweets are occasional. I gained 20 pounds with my daughter, and lost it shortly after and didn't breast feed her. I did alot of tummy toning.
This baby I am 7 and a half months and have only managed to gain 11 pounds, even though I eat alot.
I just try to choose good healthy food and exercise, I tried to moisturize with that cocoa butter stuff to prevent stretch marks, guess you can't have it all.

After I had my babies I had darker nipples and stretch marks on my breasts. The appearance of your breasts is what changes the most. Prevent it? Well, I don't know about that, but just accept a more matronly, mature but equally as beautiful body.

My breasts are a lot larger so that is good.
Use cocoa butter cream three times a day on the tummy and the hips thighs and especially the butt. I gained a ton of weight I have yet to get rid of it all, but I have no stretch marks.
