My friend is a very good man, but has a horrible time dealing with his emotions (anger, above all). A guy made him very angry talking badly about his mother and he broke his jaw. My friend was charged with assault and put on probation. His wife then left him and now trying to take full custody of his child. In a nutshell, my friend is charged with assault and about to be violated on 12/22/2006 and need to contend with child support payments, paternity rights, and child custody. He's a very loving father and would do anything for his child. He has no money, and is literally busting his butt trying to make due with $3,600 probation cost due and $1,200 child support payments. I was thinking about purchasing him prepaid legal plan. But, I don't know what to do to help my friend. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance as I greatly appreciate your advice on this imperative matter.

Prepaid legal plans do not cover criminal cases already on-going. He needs to modity the probation order and fines by filing a Motion To Modify Probation Order. He can do this himself, the courts have forms for this knowing many people cannot afford an attorney and must do it themselves, so use the court form and be ready to present any evidence that will help his case. Go to self-help sites like findlaw.com to find the state forms on line, and for legal assistance on what to do.

If your buddy built the photographs and offers you a suite and not using a womans permission I'm now not certain what crime you might also be committing until you released the photographs someplace or used them to blackmail the girl by hook or by crook. If you deliver any individual your estate they usually on no account go back it or do some thing with it that they weren't legal to do, it's not against the law, and the one recourse that you've is to sue them. So the girl gave your buddy negatives to expand photographs from, and if he develops one more set of photographs for you, there is not any crime. If the girl reveals out and does not love it, she probably ready to carry a lawsuit in opposition to you or your buddy, and it does not sound very moral, however I see no legislation being damaged right here!

You are a good friend. But this man has rage problems as well as being violent and many other problems as well. Major stuff.

If you are a very wealthy person & can well afford to help him financially because you don't need the money then help him. If not, I would say run away from this man. He's major trouble.

I don't know about buying the prepaid legal plan for your friend. That is a personal decision. I don't think that you should loan your friend money. The best thing would be to help him find a good lawyer or legal aid society than give him competent legal advice.

Sounds to me like your friend needs some counseling or therapy to help him manage his anger. His inability to control his temper seems to be the root of his current legal problems and is likely involved with the breakup of his marriage. You might consider paying for some therapy sessions with a qualified counselor. Generally, prepaid legal plans don't provide much coverage for things like this. Good luck to your friend.
