ME! When I was a Long Term Single Parent -- the kids (both disabled) would fight over the Remote Control (and throw it down) -- and they BROKE The thing. So I did not replace it .. they got up and changed channels.
THEN ... when I got my PDA (with Nevo Software) - it was able to be programmed to change the channels of my TV -- and that is what I USED to change the channel to what I wanted ... (they would NEVER touch that device -- they would have had to pry it out of my cold, dead hands).
NOW .. FINALLY I am an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree, and there is NO ONE in the home but ME! So it just fits that I have the TV control to MY SELF.

When both of us are home, one of us is on the computer and the other is in charge of the remote.

Well here at my house its just me, my sister, and my mom. We all have our own tvs in our room..so we all are in charge of our own remote. And for the living..whoever goes in there first!

We all have our own tv's in different rooms... mine is in the bedroom...bf's in in his office... Mom's is in her bedroom.... we all have out remote controls... we each control our own section of the house....

he is...sometimes if i feel like teasing him..i will grab hold of the control and change the channel...he will insist i change it back..if i refuse..he gets real shitty and storms of to bed...ha ha ha...i hate most t.v anyhow..thats why hes usually got the remote control glued to his hand
