Yes you will. Taking a bath this close is not always recommended though. If there is a small leak you haven't noticed you can get bacteria introduced to the baby. Stick to showers.

You really shouldn't be taking baths at this stage, because the warm water can cause the intra-utero temperature to become too high and can lead to fetal complications. Not to mention, the rare event that your water might fully break while in the tub. Usually, the rupture of the membranes is a lengthy thing. The bag will spring a leak...and then continue to leak for several hours. Sometimes there's a gush, but I read that barely 10% of women encounter it that way.

My water broke in the tub during my first pregnancy. I started with back labor and thought that a soak in a warm tub would help relax the muscles. Once labor had progressed several hours later I went to the hospital. After checking me, the nurse asked what time it was when my water broke. I told her it didn't yet and she informed me that it certainly had and I should have been there much sooner. It happened in the tub and I had no idea! I didn't feel a thing. My second child I didn't physically feel my water break but I wasn't in the tub so it was quite obvious that time. I'm wondering how it will go this time.

yes u will know because when ur water breaks u feel less "presure" (not sure if thats the right word) you feel a little lighter almost, but trust me you will know. AND lets say u dont know, u will figure it out soon after because A) contractions will start mine did a half hour after my water broke B) you will leak a little each time u move because not all of it comes out at once the baby acts like a cork when you move the baby moves so a little bit of water will come out.
your water may not even break at all the doctor may have to break it. its not like in the movies where thewater breaks and out pops the baby! GOOD LUCK!!

Everyone is right, you shouldnt be taking baths, and yes, if your water breaks you will know....its kind of like a warm gushy feeling at first...then you'll notice the leak! I know with my first, my water broke and I lost my mucus plug (funny looking fungus type thing that was a little twinged with blood) at the same time, so to answer your question, yes you'll know...and stay away from the baths!!!

Don't take baths at this point. You will DEFINITELY know when your water breaks, though, if it does at all. Not every womans water breaks on her on. You may just start having contractions. But, you will definitely know when it is time. I know it is hard to believe that when you have never had a baby before, because no one does until they have been through it, but trust me, you will know when it is time!

Good luck!

Last I knew you're not supposed to take a bath towards the end of pregnancy. It brings on contractions. You are supposed to take showers. I think you should ask the doc on that one. If you can, then you will know. The temp of the water will change drastically between your legs. Get out immediately. I really think you should switch to showers though.

I was nervous my 1st time giving birth and I had questions like this too. YES, you will definately know, here is a free helpful hint, when you feel yourself going into labour, (extreme pain, unmistakeable, like the WORST pain you've ever felt in your life), anyhow, when you 1st go into labour, and before you go to the hospital, drink a couple of glasses of warm Red Clover Tea, (it's all natural, it's tea, so it won't do any harm to the baby), but it will ease the pain of your contractions naturally, take the pain medicine to, but drink this first, I promise, it WORKS, and good luck and may God Bless you and your new baby and may being a mother be the greatest joy that you will ever know and may you and the baby bond instantly.

My water broke while I was in bed. Once it breaks, it continously replenshes itself, so it;s almost like you are always peeing on yourself...lol. I went through 4 maxi pads on the way to the hospital. It doesn't stop pouring out of you until baby comes out.

Yes, it feels like a little pop. If you have a slow leak you will notice it after you get out. Mine also came with a little bloody show.
