I happen to love Janis Joplin....i grew up in the 60's and idolized her and her philosophy's=== I think my very favorite one is
" Get it while you can " i was so bummed when she died. She was definately way ahead of her time and it was a tremendous loss to the music world when she passed. And i think my very favorite album she did was " Pearl " == when she 1st started singing everyone thought she was a black singer...i mean how could a white chick have so much soul. you know what i mean??
She was definately a hit in the music world although really was
shunned by the people she went to school with. But she really showed them......by becoming as famous as she did !!!! i will always miss Janis......i did not know her but i felt as though i did thru her music. She was one of a kind........

WOW! You are lucky! Janis was the queen of rock and soul! She was a truly talented musician who was ahead of her time! Her life was tragically taken by drugs and alcohol at a very young age! She was an outcast in high school and really expressed herself through her music! I think she was fabulous and I know there is a movie about her called "Janis", it is a documentary! You should check out her tunes!
