because i updated my java, and for some reason, i cant use features of websites, because i have to enable javascript/

open your browser (if you're using Internet Explorer - click Tools - Internet Options)
click on the Advanced tab
scroll down and look for Java
make sure there's a check mark in there
click apply
click OK
restart your computer

could you have made such a simple mistake? maybe, but you could also have reset options for another program such as flash, just by doing an upgrade to IE...

if yes, go to tools->options->security
