Luke,who wrote the Gospel that bears his name, also wrote the book of Acts--at the very beginning of Acts, he refers back to the gospel he previously wrote (Acts 1:1-5) in a sort of preface addressed to "Theophilus." Who this person was is unknown, but it's interesting that the name mean "lover of God," so whoever the individual may have been, he was seeking God's truth.

John wrote the gospel of John, the Jonannine epistles and revelation...Luke wrote the book of Acts.
By the way...have you ever heard of "punctuation?"
