You don't mention how old you are. My daughter was diagnosed with Endo when she was 14. She has the most aggressive and the most painful kind that there is. She couldn't attend school, no pain medicines worked. I even took her to the ER several times just for the morphine shots, till they did surgery, and removed the growths. Hers grew back so fast, she had to have another surgery less than a year later.
Make sure you find a specialist. We've been to several Drs till they believed that a girl that young has Endometriosis.
My daughter has been taking Seasonale for almost 2 years now, and her Dr won't let her have a period anymore (so she skips those weeks, and continues on the pill) So far, so good. But there are days when she has cramps, but not endo pain, (there is a major difference she says)
There is an article on an RemedyFind website that helps women with Endometriosis find what works for other women. In October, my daughter was on the featured article

I live in Illinois and if you're in my area I can suggest a very good specialist. You, or anyone else reading this, can feel free to IM me. My ID is rt49andellis.
You should know that if you did not have a laparoscopy done, the first thing you need to do is find another doctor! Laparoscopy is the only way to diagnose this (or rule it out for that matter)
A hysterectomy is NOT the answer. That won't make the endo go away. One thing that is available is birth control pills. You can tri-cycle them and have only a few periods each year. Sometimes just giving your body a little rest from periods can help the endo decrease and lessen your pain.
Laparoscopies are also helpful as far as removing any of the endo that CAN be removed. Myself, I have it in places that would damage organs if they tried to remove it .... so some was left behind. But I can most definitely tell a huge difference between before and after the surgery.
Good luck in your search.

There are specialists for this. There are many email groups on yahoo for certain areas where we all discuss our experiences and refer doctors. It's important to find a good doctor. I wouldn't get a hysterectomy unless you're positive you don't want kids. Did you have a lap done? If not, then you really need to. Having a lap done is the only way to diagnose the disease. Some women who don't have it too badly don't have any more problems after a lap and it's all removed. Mine came back right after my lap so I was put on Lupron for 6 months, which didn't even help. Lupron basically puts you in a temporary menopause for 6 months which means you get hot flashes, mood swings, and everything else. If your doc wants you to go on Lupron I would seriously do your own research on the medicine first because if I had done that I would never have taken it. It's a pretty controversial drug because many women argue their problems after taking it were caused by the Lupron. And whatever you do, do not take birth control pills. Estrogen feeds the endo and makes it grow which is why when you're on your period you probably have worse cramps. But basically, the first thing you need to do is find a specialist. I'm not sure where you live, but if you live in Texas there are a lot of good ones I can recommend in Houston, otherwise I would try and join a group or forum somewhere in your area. Good luck and don't give up!

First, know you are not alone. I suggest visiting this free group, http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erc, to talk with many others who understand. Next, it is imperative to get help from a specialist. They are few and far between, but they do exist. Here are some links to their offices:
http://www.centerforendo.com
http://www.endoexcision.com
http://www.endometriosistreatment.org
There are a few others, but that's a good start. You want excision, which is total removal of all disease from all locations. While there is no definite cure for Endo, excision can give you the best chance for long lasting relief. There are supplements and medications you can take, but none are really effective. Hysterectomy will not cure Endo - it must be removed to stop the symptoms. Learn more at http://www.endocenter.org - look for their aromatase article to understand why Endo persists after hyst. Again, you're not alone...help and support are out there. Good luck.

I even have endometriosis myself, i do no longer probably think of it incredibly is YAZ itself that enables yet greater seeing it incredibly is a delivery administration pill and once you purely take the pink pills you will finally end up no longer having a era that's incredibly beneficial :) once you have not got a era your endometriosis will pass away and so will the indicators yet be carful in case you get off of the birthcontrol pills because of the fact with the endometriosis long gone you may get pregnant plenty greater handy!! I figured that one out the annoying way. Endometriosis is whilst the blood (out of your era) is going back up into your tubes and it reasons cysts of a type so for this reason without the sessions, no endometriosis and the cysts you have already got will ultimately pass away. wish this facilitates :)

Don't give up. I don't know your age or if you have had the opportunity of having kids but my sister in lay/best friend has endometriosis. She is 21. Cramping, painful periods, etc. She went to her OBGYN which referred to her a specialist. He started medication, that didn't work so he gave her a round of chemo. He did a laproscopy. Things were a little better the pain subsided. It did come back, but not as bad. They did another round of chemo, the month after chemo treatment she found out she was pregnant. The doctor had her on prenatal vitamins and all while she was doing chemo just to help keep her body healthy because he knew she was young and her and her husband wanted kids. They are so happy about their news and are due July 16th.
Please don't give up. I know that it is a painful and scary disease. I had to watch her go through a lot. Physically, mentally, & emotionally. But don't give up. Go to your obgyn and asked to be referred to a specialist.
The best luck to you! I'll keep you in my prayers.

You really need to read "Endometriosis Bible & Violet Protocol" by Zoe Brown (also available in electronic format here: http://www.endometriosisbible.info ). It's about how to eradicate endometriosis disease forever. It worked for me, you will see results in only a matter of weeks. Good Luck!

Talk to your family doctor. Or go to a clinic. Ask about birth control pills to lessen the bleeding. Some doctors are even suggesting that their patients take birth control pills daily in order to skip their periods.
But don't listen to us on this here website, because we're not doctors!
