Would it be possible to take his old hat which is adjustable to the hat place and let them figure it out? Also, if it doesn't fit, would they take it back?

Also, is there ANY black hat with a black stitched "C" on it anywhere???

There is a thing on some hats called Flexfit. It is for fitted hats so they can stretch to be bigger. Go to any sports store or hat store, bring his hat, and try to find a close match. Flexfit is better than regular fitted. Believe me.

I live in Georgia and we have places called Lids and Hat Shack and you can buy fitted caps from these places. Yes if you take an old hat that fits his head the store should be able to help. Hat Shack also does stitching for a price. There should be a hat store at the mall if you do not know the stores Im talking about

it depends on the hat style and how he wears it on his head, if you take his old hat and he's wearing it low on the brow but his old hat he wore tilted back then it won't fit, the best bet is to get an ajustable hat, but not the cheapo plastic snaps in the back but a cloth strap that tucks into the headband. i suggest you not buy him a hat unless he's tried it on. hats only look good on the shelf, you need to try it on to see how it frames your face and sits on your head. Some smaller bills look better on some than on others.

If you are buying a custom made hat, then give him a gift card.
Otherwise, buy one you think will fit a get a gift receipt so that if it doesn’t fit, he can exchange it for one that does.

take him to a tailor to have his head fitted professionally. trust me. it works much better than trying to attempt measuring it yourself.
