Do you have an open bed. You can remove the tailgate, or put a flat lid on top of the bed. The tailgate catches a lot of air and produces a lot of drag. That should help some. Also remove any non essential items with any weight, extra weight means less gas mileage. Try driving more sensibly. When coming up to a traffic light try to time getting to it, where you do not have to sit an idle a lot. If you go through a lot of drive thoroughs, park and go inside do not sit an let it idle in a line. I am sure if you think more on these suggestions, you will come up with some other ideas.

Try tuning it up. New air filter, spark plugs and wires. Change to fuel filter also. Also, there is an additive you can put in the tank the next time you fill up. It's called 44K. It's made by BG. It's the best stuff out there. It will improve your gas mileage and overall performance. If you can't find it where you are, call Brandywine Auto Parts at 1-800-638-3446 and ask for New Parts. The guys there will help you.

Trucks generally don't get very good mileage. If its a V8 or V6, don't expect more than 12-15 or 16. If its worse than that you probably need a full tune up, wires etc. It'll be pricey, but you'll see a definite improvement of 10 to 15%.
