You might want to check with a computer store to see the availability of programs that can "clean up" your computer. You can probably get a set of "system restore" CD's from your computer manufacturer if you have to wipe out your hard drive completely. Of coarse you want to back up anything important on CD's before you wipe everything away.It worked for me and I was surprised that the restore CD set was not that expensive and I can use it again if necessary. It's cheaper than buying a new computer. Or, there are independent computer consultants out there that are also quite reasonable and pretty knowledgeable with issues like you are experiencing. Might want to check with a couple but negotiate fee up front.

You can select tools in the internet browser, select internet option-select delete files and check also off line content delete the files. Similarly delete cookies. Then select system tools under start-programs, select disc clean up. delete the files recommended there. Then run a scan with an antivirus and anti spyware. If required, insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Did you install this Virus Buster or did it just show up on your computer. Most virus scaners will not let you install more than one. If it was on that just appeared while on the internet then you have nothing to worry about as far as viruses go because they always find a virus. I do however recomend that you check for spyware because if you are getting that message then you got it,

don't do it. some are actually viruses that tell you that so you will down load it. some pretend that they are inti-virus software so you will down load them and others just tell you stuff to scare you into downloading it. my sister did just that after being told something similar to what yours did. it was a virus and messed her computer up.

to get rid of hidden files just click onto disk clean up....>start,all programs, accesories, system tools, disk clean up
