I just bought my 11 year old a Password Journal. It is electronic and for sale in many places. It costs under $20 which is a plus for electronics. The girl's voice serves as the key, so she would have privacy with whatever she entered into it. She should like it.

Get an iPod, a Nintendo DS lite, a board game, ect.
You don't get everything though. At my house what we do is that I chose one or maybe two expensive gifts and I only get that. A site to go to is gifts.com. You just put her age group, and there is a whole variaty of gifts!
