I'm not sure but under Sharia law it would probably be death by hanging. Even here, it's a serious offense if somebody is on to him/her. Unless he is getting paid in cash he's taking a big risk. I'm sure he would be indicted for Fraud which is a felony if he/she gets caught.

You are taken into a dimly lit alleyway and shot once through the head for ripping off the American taxpayer. Seriously, if you are willing to expose this person, the person will probably have to pay some sort of legal restitution and might even do some light jail time. I say expose the fraud!

In most states--

You have to pay it all back.

Penalties for fraud include some or all of the following:

* A penalty equal to 25 percent of the amount overpaid. Repeat offenses increase the penalty to 50 percent.
* A penalty of up to one year disqualification from future benefits.
* Criminal prosecution under federal or state law.
* Jail sentence and/or fine.

I knew someone who did that. They had to pay it all back plus fines and penalties plus jail time. They were turned in by what they thought was a friend. The friend collected a bounty for turning them in.

I am surprised that they have not been caught but they will be if they are paying taxes. For sure they won't be able to collect employment again. In the state of Texas, they have to pay it back, but they catch it pretty quick.

That is a felony so there is a minimum of 1 to 5 years. Depending on the classification of felony, you could get up to 40-life.

You will be sent to a maximum security prison where you will be treated like a love slave by the other inmates which may or may not be considered fun by you. Be careful that the IRS does not catch you then you are really in trouble, I believe they still have the death penalty on their books.

you will not go to jail for this normally. What happens is that when they do find out they will make you pay back all the money and if you don't have the money then they will garnish your paycheck for what you owe back.
