I am wondering about the big chain franchises, not so much the mom and pop places (which are great).

Taco Bell has the taco's.... Taco Bueno for everything else...

most of the peole will hate me ( i live in san diego, boder city to Mexico) but if i cant walk across the border and go get some tacos 3 for a dollar, than i go to almost any mexican food place around and get good stuff, particularly from a chain called "Tacos el Gordo" which is pretty much just like the tacos you'll find from street vendors in Tijuana. Taco Bell doesnt even compare to the real stuff. Taco bell is in no way real mexican food, and most hispanics will call that white persons mexican.
someday plan a trip to san diego, try "Carne Asada fries" and go home sad.

Taco Time. It's largely a Pacific Northwest chain, but it's so much better than Taco Hell.

I have never seen any better than south Texas for good tacos. Especially the restaurants run by real Mexicans( I did not say illegal).For fast food I highly recommend ChaChos in Houston.My favorite Mexican food restaurant is Daniela's in Corpus Christi.

OH! I miss Jack n The Box tacos so much! It is mystery meat, I know, but 5-6 of them satisfies so thoroughly! haha I know, I know, I like REAL tacos, too and so many places to choose from in California.

It became Pedro's Tacos in San Clemente until my husband reported in his maximum Mexican voice "and get me some Horchata, residences!!!" i'm surprisingly helpful they spit in our fish tacos suited there!
