the group that people are calling "neocons" now don't have the best track record on some issues...
they don't seem to value fiscal responsibility as the debt has grown by leaps and bounds under the current conservative leadership... which many people consider this to be a bad thing, understandably...
also, they seem to favor legislating morality, while many people believe that America is based on the freedom to do what you want... and in history, when morals are legislated in one area, many others often follow...
another point would be that they seem to not mind the invasion of personal privacy, without going thought the necessary checks and balances... many dictators throughout history have started out with minor abuses of civil rights, saying it is needed for security and the abuses growing once the "foot is in the door"... many people remember these issues from the past and are hesitant of these programs, due to the lessons history has taught us...
and my personal last point, which is more my opinion from what I have seen, would be that they all seem to trust government completely... and that I think is a very dangerous thing... corruption exists in almost every government, in almost every party and to trust any party, group or person completely in politics, in my opinion, would be naive... I hope they all do exactly what they say they will, but trust is often abused and we should all be weary of any actions taken by government... we are the watchdogs... it is our duty...
now do these issues exist for every "neocon"... of course not, but they do seem to be trends in the party overall that trouble me... maybe they don't bother you at all... but this would be my answer and in reality, many of these issues go for all politicians...

In my adventure, the priority I somewhat have with NeoCons is the thought they placed own earnings ability particularly else. own Social accountability is very important to them, without retaining in ideas that there are others who're much less fortunate than them. some people have not got the economic reward that maximum NeoCons have. they only do no longer understand why somebody could % to be destructive, or in a topic the place they can't help themselves- nor do they sense that's their accountability to shield others who can't shield themselves. they had somewhat their tax money flow in direction of upkeep of their own own wealth.

Only the same thing that is wrong with any broad-based label. Not everyone or everything fits into such labels. This lazy pigeon holing of people and ideologies is throwing unneed fuel on the fire of the bipartisan quarrels in our country and on The Hill. STOP THE INSANITY!!!!!!

I can't decide if your actually trying to ask a question, or from the look on you face, justify being one yourself? At any rate, there is nothing wrong with being a neo-con, unless as a neo-con you embody all of and only the things the liberals claim they stand for, in which case you would have to be a child of satan, if satan exists, of course! On the other hand, if being a neo-con means you strive to be socially and economically conservative AND retain a high degree of freedom for yourself, and all other citzens of the United States, then you are most likely as close to perfection as a human being can be and still reside on the planet instead of taking a direct route to heaven, which would require a certain amount of faith in our Lord I believe.

LOL! Got to love these answers.
Amazing how profound such a simple question can be!
And to answer your question, I will admit to being unable to define this term.

Depends on your stance. Many liberals hate them. In all reality there's nothing wrong with being a neoconservative...or a liberal.
