It depends on the card. Some brands have more value than the others. The 90/91 Opeechee Premier Rookie is only worth $12. I looked it up in the sports card pricing book. A topps would be less.

Let's be realistic here, the signing will be for one year so Modano can play and retire for the hometown team. It will be for a small amount of money. He will be a third line player and used primarily in checking and P-Kill situations, of which, even in his decline, he has always been good at. A 40 year old Modano is still more effective than say, a 25 year old John Mitchell. The other reason he is going there is he feels he has a legitimate shot at a cup. No player is completely satisfied with winning the cup just once, especially more than 10 years earlier in their career - most want to retire as a cup winner. Also to consider, who knows what a new environment will do for him? He could get worse or he could be rejuvenated - look what happened to Recchi in Boston and he's 2 years older than Modano

when Modano entered the league hockey cards aren't worth that much you might get around $5.00 to $15.00 if very lucky its not worth much sorry!!
