I have noticed that my key has been getting stuck more and more recently in my driver's side door lock. It seems like it is just a matter of time before I can't open the door. If this happens, how would I change the door lock, and how much would it cost? I have a 92 4dr Honda Civic DX.

It depends if you have manual or power locks.

I changed manual locks myself on my old Mazda 323. I think there were like $100. You buy a set of new locks at the dealership. You take off the inner part of the door, then it's pretty obvious from there.

open up the door panel from the inside, reach to the door lock you can find there's a small and thin nut that is locking the door lock to the door. unscrew it, then there is a metal rod connecting to the doors lock and unlock button, disconnect it, that should do the job that you ask.

Hope it helps, Merry Christmas.
