whenever i put a cd in it makes a small,repetative tapping sound, and hasnt been reading my discs. is it broken?

Some Xbox drives are from a generation of faulty drives. If it is under warranty, take it to the place you bought it from. If it isn't, you can take it to a professional to be replaced or you can replace it yourself for the cost of the drive only.

yeah... take ur xbox to a professional to be checked out. What happens is that the dvd rom gets worn out through use or even just by collecting dust. So you might need to get it cleaned or you might need a complete replacement.

take it to someone reliable who knows what they are doing. and hopefully it can be back up in a short while.

It might be broken see if it still does it if you clean or blow in the xbox or clean the cds or if I were you I would do both

Yes,,,at the very least, it will need to be aligned. I'm assuming you're using real versions of the songs and not ripped.

yes your x-box is broken you need to take it somewhere to get fixed. its something internal i wouldnt try to fix it by yourself you could just make the problem worse.
