iPod Shuffle Doesnt Have New EarPhones Like Mentioned?

I just bought a 2nd generation ipod shuffle, the new cool small one but it has the same old school earphones. i remember apple mentioning that new earphones would be out. whats the deal!?

They still have the same old crappy earbuds as before. I never heard about a new style earbud.
