In a sense, yes.

The primary ingredient in concrete is calcium carbonate, which comes from limestone rock.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed of animal shells, such as oyster shells, and chemical precipitates with a large component of CaCO3 in them. Limestones usually form in deep ocean waters.

They don't take actual oyster shells to make concrete. There's a step (formation of limestone) which involves nature and thousands of years between the oyster shell and the concrete.

24 years and he never wondered where the stuff came from. Sure it's got oysters in it. CaCO3 is huge in concrete and made almost exclusively by shelled marine organisms.

I guess if there was a picture of oysters on the bag some rights group would try and ban concrete though. Maybe?? Work with me here..

No, if it was then it would be a mineral or a rock, since it occurred naturally. Concrete is a man-made product. Oysters make oyster beds, a type of limestone.

Sorry to hear about you difficult time. To me they sound like jerks. Friends don't hit friends, if you told a lie so what you don't deserve to be slapped across the face. Nobody has the right to touch you, without your permission. I would say find new friends, but I know how difficult that is. You do need to stand up for your self though, I'm sorry to say it but bullies never stop, until YOU make them stop. I had the same problem all the way through high school. One day I got so sick of it so I hit the bully back. If you're being tormented by a group it might be a little harder. Sorry if I havn't helped

Not conventionally, but I guess it could be used as an aggregate for fine concrete.
