Oh its clear they only want to control the senate, they could care less about this man's health, only their power. Its the same with the war. They care more about showing Bush was wrong about Iraq than actually winning...the liberal and Democrat thinking is destructive to this country

Do individual Democrats care about the welfare of Sen. Tim Johnson? Of course they do, he is their colleague and peer. I'm sure there are some who care more about Sen. Johnson than others, as is the case in any severe medical situation. But the Democrats as a PARTY care primarily about Sen. Johnson's seat in The Senate.
The reason for this is because the Democratic Party is an organization that exists to promote the Democratic agenda. The most effective way for that agenda to progress is for the Democrats to have a majority in both houses of Congress.
To be fair in a similar situation, the Republican party would do the same thing. In fact, we've had a recent event that was (in my humble opinion) a disgusting extension of this scenario. We all remember the scandal with Rep. Mark Foley and the Congressional Pages. The Republicans spent about a day trying to defend Rep. Foley before the actual text of his conversations was released. But then what happened? Word got out that Speaker Dennis Hastert not only knew about Rep. Foley's unacceptable behavior, but he knew about it for several years! What did the Republican's do to reprimand Hastert? Well, let's just say that he's still in office.
Do the Democratic Senators care about Sen. Tim Johnson? Yes. Is the Senator or the Senate more important to the Democratic Party? The Senate.

The Senate. If that poor senator were Republican instead of Democrat, the Dems would be cheering because that would give them more of a lead. If that poor senator's seat were not detrimental to the democrats being in the majority, they would not give a hoot about him. They are all politics and no soul..

Judging by news reports, they care more about the senate. They are so scared of losing a seat, that some are claiming a conspiracy.

Come on. You know the only thing Senator Tim Johnson means to Harry Reid and crew is control of the senate.

both are major concerns... I don't really rate what concerns me more... so I don't know...
it's a bit of a silly question... it's like asking you "what do the Republicans worry about more, the soldier that died in Iraq today, or the war in Iraq?"... I think it's a cheap quesion...

The fact that you have grounds to ask the question should be sufficient answer.
