It seems that movie critics most of the time don't have anything costructive to say and alot of the times I disagree with them. Who out there listens to movie critics and do you let them influence what you see and why?

Nah, I normally don't listen to the critics. Take national Treasure, I saw it and i would at least give it 3 stars and the critics hated it. But a good website to trust for movie ratings is www.rottentomatos.com

I dont listen to anything they say cuz all they do it pay attention to the negative things. They turn a great movie into a negative one. We dont care about what they did wrong in the movie, if we think its a great movie and it entertained us then thats all that matters. Things arent noticed unless u point them out. Just like they did with the movie Titanic and King Kong, those were great movies but the critics disagreed. I guess cuz they are *critics* but still, dont ruin it for us.

I usually DO read what they have to say! BUT....

What I will do is, say I read a negative, awful review of a particular movie I thought I was interested in seeing, it makes me want to go see it that much more. I usually disagree with the critics.

I have only walked out of one movie and that was this corny one years and years ago called The Good Son. Dreadful.....

I never listen to them. Usually, I like what they don't. So, if they say something is bad, it's usually a good movie.

No. If everyone had the same taste, or liked the
same thing, there wouldn't be enough to go around.
Not to mention the ultimate boredom that would
set in.

Sorry, no because they usually go against what I think of the movie and I won't forgive them just because they agree once or twice.

No. If I think it looks like a good movie, I go see it. I don't care what they say. If I like it then I like it.

If Robert Ebert likes it, I'll like it 95% of the time.

They reviewer of "Sum of All fears" should have read the book before he tried to review the movie.. all his oppinions were stupid, and way off.
