what do people have against "emo" people? its not even a style its not even a wword its short for emotional....... i dont understand. can someone expllain to me why people hate them soo much????

because theyre friggin WIERD!!! they cut their hair all stupid, dress in gay clothing, talk like gay people, and are friggin WIERD!!! i HATE emo's.

Well at least in my preppy rich white town which I hate, Emos are all posers. They try to act all emo and depressed and wear their clothes, but they are not truly "emo". There are a few depressed kids, but they are not emo, they are just depressed, and people respect that. But most people hate emos because they see life as a miserable place and that they have nowhere to go, when really they have a great life witih many friends and happiness is all around them, but they just can't see it. Because of this, people don't like them.
This is just in my town, I don't know what it's like out of my bubble

No idea, but it was originally short for "emotive hardcore". Then people just started saying emo, and most people understood that to mean emotional.

Maybe it's because they're goth wannabes and they are creepy, generally emos listen to horrible music and they cut themselves and just google the emosong and it pretty much describes them and ppl dont like that because its plain creepy

The main reason that i hate emos is because my kid sister is leanin towards that. I think it is a poor excuse of a goth myself. I dont wanna hear this death, torture, the world sux i wanna kill myself shiit........I think it would suk to be cool to be depressed..

cuz they are usually rich little snotty kids and then complain about how their life sux their life could be a hell of alot worse than mommy not letting them take the mercedes to the movies

Lots of people try to protect themselves by bottling up their emotions... You know: I don't care so I don't suffer.... So they resent people who vent it all out because they somehow envy their freedom and envy them not to be afraid to do so....
The key word here is fear... Actually these people are afraid of what they could discover about themselves and others if they did show their feelings....
