yes there are and the are called controller gloves and u can buy them at best buy, target, gamestop, eb games, and fry's, also sears. the controller gloves cost $9.99 and it comes with 4 in black, blue, gray, and pink

Use gloves or wash your hands after 30 minutes of gaming then dry it with a rag or something.
Also there are grips made for the Wiimotes at Target I think...

Nintendo is shipping out new straps. Your freind can go trade his in (I think whereever he bought his at) for a new, thicker one. Also, just make sure to take a break every once in a while to wipe your hands off. And there are grips, like they said.

tell your friend congrats on geting a wii i heard thay were hard to get there are grip things you can put over the controller for gripat some stores

My suggestion?
Take a 10-20 minute brake every hour or so.
It will make it to where your hands won't get so sweaty.
It will take a bit longer to finally beat that game you've been playing, but..
