It's a play on words for the movie "The Santa Clause". (there is also Santa Claus II, and III)
The premise that being Santa is like having a contract, thus it contains clauses. Good family movies to watch with the kids.

It was on ABC Family Channel just tonight. He was found by the Kringles as a baby. They raised him as an elf, but soon realized he wasn't an elf. They made toys, but couldn't get over the mountains to deliver them and Kris decided that when he grew up he would deliver the toys. When he finally did, he discovered that toys were illegal and he was thrown in jail a few years later. The soon to be Mrs. Claus freed him by giving the magic corn from the Winter Warlock to the reindeer and he flew out of town. Then as he got older he decided he couldn't keep up with the toy orders and chose Christmas Eve to deliver the toys all at once.

when the last one fell off the roof, the new one put on his suit and got in the sled and delivered gifts. thereby making a binding contract. so sayeth tim allen's assistant in "the santa clause" . hehehehe

his wife demanded that he clean house...when he tripped down the stairs, due to Blixen's toys on the floor, he hit his head...he then got his name, Claus mixed up with house and damn...out came Clause. Well, that's what his 4 psychiatrists told CNN

santa cluas became santa claus.......his name is nicholous(however you spell it!) and he was a good man. he use to give poor people gives and he died at a young age. we remember him by celebrating chritmas
