VERY interesting question. Why don't you pose that to the ACLU and see what answer you get. Maybe free representation for you and others could jump on your bandwagon. Perhaps we could sue the entire mosque when a cleric uses the term! Good luck.

No you can't take them to court. The US Government sucks up to Muslims so I suspect that if you were called an infidel, it was a Muslim doing the calling. Islam is bent on world domination and they seem to be getting closer each year. I lived and worked in a Muslim country 14 years and it wasn't the most pleasant place to be. Why did I stay so long, the money was good. When I landed there I was given two buckets. One put put money in and the other manure. When the manure bucket got heavier, I came home.
I graduated from high school in 1960 and in my history classes, I was taught about the Middle Eastern Crusades. The Christians were always fighting the horrible Turks. At no time did they ever say if was Christian against Muslim.

If you were called "Infidel" by a Muslim because you are Christian or Jewish, then I can understand you are upset. Yes it is hateful speech based on religion, but unfortunately it is so common now that I don't think you could get a lawyer to take the case. Maybe you could call the ACLU and press it hard and maybe they would take that kind of a case because they seem to take discrimination cases. However, they also seem to be sympathetic anyone who wants to persecute Christians. So I would check int it but all I can say is good luck.

YES. Make an example to show Muslims that it is unacceptable for them to go around preaching hate. Show them that political correctness can work both ways!
You go girl/boy!

probably not. You would have to prove you were actually harmed, like you lost your job b/c of it or something.
the law expects that citizens will have thick enough skins tobe able to handle verbal name calling without requiring legal recourse.
