If my gpa is 3.3 which is low to me, will a good score on ACT get me accepted to the Universtiy of Michigan?

My current gpa is a 3.3, I'm usuall a 3.5 but algebra 2 and chemistry had alot to do with it. The University of Michigan only takes students thats 3.5 or beyond. So if I get a high score on the ACT say 25 will that get me accepted? I need some insight, I really apperciate it. Thanks.

Well, I had that GPA when I was a freshman. I brought it up to a 3.9, so maybe you can still bring yours up, too.

Colleges look at everything, not just tests and grades. They want to see individuality, like community service, clubs, after-school activities, etc. Even if you may have something "low", they may still accept you. Well-roundedness is what gets you accepted. Not just intelligence.

It depends on what you're applying into, how good the other candidates are and what else you've got going for you.

If you're applying into a really competitive program a 30 ACT and a 3.5 GPA would not get accepted, but if you're looking at something else you'll probably have a shot. Just do your best on the essay

My guess is that you probably won't get in if you are not a Michigan resident. They have a lower threshold for in-state students -- so if you are from Michigan, you might have a chance with good SAT or ACT scores.

that's a tough school...my best friend went there. it would depend on what your major is...medical or law...no. you might get lucky...but they are usually pretty strict on the gpa. i would have a back up school in mind. it also depends on you extra cirricular activities...the more things you were involved in the better your chances are.
