Any USB A To USB B Cable Should Work..
I Currently Use My External HDD USB Cable To Connect My PSP..

The USB A-To-B Cable Has A Normal Sized USB Plug And A Smaller One On The Other End To Connect Into The PSP..

Once That Is Connected, You'll Need To Turn Your PSP To 'USB Mode'..
That's Done By Going To The 'Settings' Category Of The PSP's Home Crossbar Menu..
From There, Select 'USB Connection' (something along those lines)..

Now, On Your PC, Go To 'My Computer' And There Should Be A New Drive.. Open It Up And Drag Your Files In The Appropriate Folder (like 'music', 'pictures', etc)..
Note That If You Have An Older Version Of The PSP Firmware Updates, That Would Be Less Than Version 2.0, The Folders Will Be Found In The 'PSP' Folder, And Putting Videos On Your PSP Is More Complicated..

Note That It Appears That Only PC Users Can Use This Feature..

Everytime I receive music to my PSP i exploit a USB cord myself. i exploit this application referred to as musicmatch field to deliver the music to my psp. U can receive the music on limewire, then open the musicmatch field application and lower than the options, and click on search for and upload music from all drives which will take a couple of minutes. then you actually can deliver your music for your PSP. U may ought to receive a application so your pc would note of your PSP once you plug it as a lot because the computer. Your pc will probable do this automaticaly seeing as how mine did did. reliable success!!!!!

Sure you can use any usb cord as long as it fits and works properly. it will not damage your psp like the people in the store will try to tell you. my son is ten and loses all cords i just switch em' out for whatever is around.
