The evidence:
Every woman that he's approached to cook for is in her 20's to 30's, a size 2, and generally very beautiful. On the show I saw tonight, the woman that he was cooking for was telling him that she had graduated from Law School recently and that she was nervous about starting her first job in law the next day. She said that it was especially weird because she has to be an "adult" now because she would have an office and her own secrectary. He replied: "I thought only males had secretaries".
Has anyone else picked up on this? Agree? Disagree?
Also, this is the only show on TLC that I've ever noticed this. Maybe it sticks out more than it would on another channel?

You are being extreme to make a poor point. Most of the other shows on TLC are "reality" shows that use non-celebrities. They use people of all shapes and sizes and the shows are still interesting and entertaining. If this were a show whose goal was to find a date for Curtis, then it would make sense. However it's about cooking, and it's geared towards women. Do I expect Curtis to pick a "big fat pig with a 3 toothed boyfriend"? Probably not. (Although it would make the show kinda like What Not to Wear, it would show someone with no class, how to cook a classy meal.) I expect Curtis to choose at more at randomly. These type of shows (like game shows) are made to make you feel like it could happen to you, so you relate with the "contestant". Instead he comes across as arrogant and more like "I couldn't stomach teaching someone to cook unless I could imagine having sex with them." It's not fun to watch. Plus, the comment from tonight's show was just stupid.

Oh yeah, and tonight's show was in Seattle. So it's not a "California thing".
