How to insert date that updates daily in a website?

I'm building a website and would like to have it say "Today is ___" such as "Friday, December 15, 2006" but have it change to Saturday December 16, 2006 tomorrow. I have copied and pasted the HTML from a website that has this feature, but it isn't changing. What do I do?
