I too also rinse cold at the end of my shower. It does close the pores and also is proven to retain the oils in your hair better. I have well water and this dries out my hair. A hot shower tends to leave the pores open, therefore allowing dirt, sweat, etc back into the skin.

Yes i use warmer water 1st..especially when cleaning my hair, to open my hair up for the conditioner. Then i rinse it on cold to help hold the conditioner in.Supposedly it does help to close the pores.

I rinse with a cooler shower when I wash my hair, it closes down the hair shaft. Heat and the friction of shampooing your hair opens the hair shaft. Use hot water to shampoo, condition your hair and then close that conditioner down in the shaft with cooler water.

I do it because it makes me feel fresh and clean. It's also good for your hair to rinse out shampoo or conditioner in cold water.

Used to do it and realized its ok once in a while but in the long run causes more stress to the skin than doing it any good.

I have heard it's good and have tried it a couple of times, but I just can't take the cold shock. I have heard it's good for your hair and make it really shiney.
