Pick some people who look interesting and nice and introduce yourself. You can do it suttlely by asking where a class is or something if that makes you more comfortable

i agree with the previous post, just introduce yourself to some people that look pretty calm and cool and see what happens. There's a new guy at my school and he just doesn't seem interested in making friends, so make an effort and everything will turn out.

Join or club such as drama or some other after school activity. It worked for me when I moved the past two times.

Just start hanging around people you like. Don't make yourself noticed so to speak, just hang around a certain group that you like. Soon enough, you will find something to say to one of them, or they will find something to say to you. Then you will work on it from there. Be open, be honest, and be calm.

1st look and find a person that catches your interest then find out what their personality is like and if you like it and is comfortable with them go to them and start up a conversation.

start with someone who sits next to you in class and ask basic questions like how are you doing or whatever topic you like.

just approach people...if they're nice/cool people they will most likely talk to u...thats wat i did and i got a great friend in like 2 weeks...i saw her and i was like..."she looks cool...ill talk 2 her" and i did and were real close now
