Well can you use songs off of itunes? and transfer them to another program???

You can use iTunes to listen on your computer without an iPod, but each mp3 player comes with its own program to put the music on to the device.

You need an iPod to transfer the music from your computer. It will only work with Apple branded mp3 players.
