I too would choose Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward, but don't forget she was not his first wife. Newman was married to Jackie Witte (and had three children) before he married Joanne.
Tom Hanks was married before he married Rita Wilson (to Samantha Lewes and had two children)
As was Will Smith to Sheree Smith (and had 1 child)
George Burns and Gracie Allen were together from 1926 – 1964 (upon her death), but she was his second wife (Hannah Siegal was his first)
John Travolta is Kelly Preston’s second husband.
Kevin Bacon was married before he married Kyra Sedgewick in 1988.
Johnny Cash had four daughters to Vivian Liberto before divorcing her in 1966 to marry June Carter in 1968.
Maybe we should look elsewhere than Hollywood for couples who have stayed together.
