There are many of us that do not even believe in monogamy so why does everyone wanna be like the heterosexuals? Married couples bore me.

There are quite a few gays and lesbians who do not support gay marriage or just don't care. I've met some of them. A lot are monogamous, some are not.

I think the big deal, though, is not that we who do support gay marriage "want to be like heterosexuals", but to have equal equality before the law. A lot of homosexuals who support gay marriage would never want to get married, but they want that right to be available to them, else it is discrimination, isn't it?

This isn't about lifestyles and who can successfully "be married" or anything like that- but about rights.

of course there are gays that do not support marriage. The word marriage is from religion. There should be a different word used.. Union, Partnership.. something besides " marriage"
When I think marriage.. I think of all the heterosexuals who breed the children that society has to take care of.

I applaud the efforts with regard to gay marriage, but I don't have any emotional investment in it, and I'm not at all involved with the issue. I also keep having the thought that this issue could cause some very ugly backlash.

I'm not saying I want to walk down the aisle.

But I want to have all the benefits that heterosexual married couple have.

Church is suppose to be seperate from state so in the eyes of the law how does my marriage interfere with "your" sanction?

It doesn't... It shouldn't.
