What Rhymes with Orange /
Rhymes for Words that Have No Rhyme

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are many words that have no rhyme in the English language. "Orange" is only the most famous. Other words that have no rhyme include:
silver, purple, month, ninth, pint, wolf,
opus, dangerous, marathon, and discombobulate.

But just because these words have no 'perfect rhyme' doesn't mean we can't rhyme with them. Using slant rhyme, we can rhyme with these words anyway. To add anything to the list, post it to our boards or email escher@flocabulary.com

Words with No Rhyme? We Rhyme 'em anyway.

orange - lozenge, boring, forage, porridge, door-hinge, score bench
silver - filter, shiver, filler, deliver, liver

Nothing rhymes with them.

But for orange, you could use words like binge, fringe, hinge, etc to rhyme because they're similar in sound. But they don't actually rhyme.

And as for silver, you could use quicksilver. Lol.

month: lunch could be a "half rhyme" (we studied those in reading)
orange: door hinge, singe, hinge, tinge, quench (half rhyme)...
purple: half rhyme could be anything that ends with "el" sound... cant think of any on the top of my head rite now.
