Usually it only locks a certain computer out, not the account. They do this through finding you IP address. If she Is locked out, Tell her you got into her email. Tell the truth. If you can't do that, make up some excuse, like you think you sent a nasty email you didn't mean to send to her, and you thought she might be sad if she saw it.

You call yourself a friend? What kind of friend tries to break into someone elses email. Especially your friends????You should be ashamed of yourself. That's the same as reading her diary. If she finds out what you did I hope she drops you as a friend. You have no respect for her or her privacy. Your not a friend at all.

Why were you even trying to hack your friend's email in this first place?
That's rude, mean, and shows a lack of trust. Tell her the truth about what you and your other friend did. It's the best way to salvage your friendship, rather than getting caught in a prison of lies.

That's pretty f*ucked up. Does she know why she's lokced out of her e-mail? If so, I don't know what to tell you. If not, since it's friday, call her and say you're going out and can't chat online
